A Durango Christmas Tradition
Join us as we light our community Christmas Tree in Buckley Park. Santa will be there to help us count down to the lighting of the tree and sing Christmas Carols. We will have hot chocolate and cookies for all to enjoy while supplies last. After we light the Community Christmas Tree, Santa will be available for photos.
Singing with Santa has been in Downtown Durango for decades and is an annual holiday tradition. Bring the whole family together for the most wonderful time of the year!
Arrive around 5:30 pm for free hot chocolate and cookies while they last. If you can, please bring your own hot chocolate mug, or complete the Reindeer Scavenger Hunt to win a commemorative Singing With Santa mug.
Sing Christmas carols until just before 6pm.
Santa arrives at 6pm.
After Santa arrives, we will light the Community Christmas Tree.
Free Photos with Santa will begin around 6:20-6:30p.m. Please bring your own camera to capture the moment.
Photos with Santa are very popular, and the line can often be long. We appreciate your patience as we work to give everyone a chance to visit. We will do our best to accommodate all guests in line.
Please note that the line will be closed at 7:15 p.m. to ensure that everyone already waiting has the opportunity to see Santa. Once this is closed, we will no longer accept any additional guests in line.
To help us serve as many guests as possible, there is a limit on the number of photos or groups per guest. This is at the discretion of the event planners to ensure we can accommodate the guests in line.
